Mount Meru
Day 1: Arusha – Momella Gate (1,500 m) – Miriakamba Hut (2,500 m)
Depart Arusha for Momella Gate, complete park registration, and begin trekking with an
armed ranger. Walk through lush montane forest, spotting giraffes, zebras, and monkeys
along the way. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight rest. (Approx. 5–6 hours
hiking)

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3,570 m)
Enjoy breakfast before ascending through a mix of forest and heath zones. The trail
becomes steeper as you gain altitude with magnificent views of Meru Crater and the Ash
Cone. Reach Saddle Hut in the afternoon. Optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820
m). Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut. (Approx. 4–5 hours hiking)

Day 3: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak (4,566 m) – Miriakamba Hut (2,500 m)
Wake at midnight for your summit attempt. Ascend along a narrow ridge to reach Socialist
Peak just before sunrise, where Kilimanjaro glows in the distance. After enjoying the views,
descend carefully to Saddle Hut for breakfast and continue down to Miriakamba Hut for
overnight. (Approx. 8–10 hours total hiking)

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha
After breakfast, descend gently through montane forest to Momella Gate, where a vehicle
